1. What is The Dehydrator?
The Dehydrator is a heated patented dryer for your fire turnout gear. It is designed to blow warm ambient air from the bottom up through the interior of your coat, bunker pants, boots, and gloves while hanging. Drying inside and out of bunker gear and suits.It has been manufactured and proven in the USA, other countries for 16 Years. Within the cost; of all standard hangers, adapters caps and casters are included.

2. To further fulfill PPE Drying: the following optional Accessories are available.
A) Wet/Ice Rescue Suit Adapter (avg 1 -2 Hr Drying Time)
B) SCBA 4 Face Piece Adapter (avg 1 hr drying for all 4 SCBA Face Pieces)
C) 4 way Glove Adapter for 2 sets of gloves, (avg w/in 2 Hrs)
D) Hooks on hangers for hoods.
     We recommend up to:
          1 Water Rescue Suit adapter capacity for the 4 Station Unit
          2 Water Rescue Suit adapter capacity for the 6 Station Unit
          3 Water Rescue Suit adapter capacity for the 8 Station Unit


3. Do these dryers protect Firefighters?
It significantly reduces risk factors a firefighter is faced with such as; steam burns, illness from molds and fungus and the stench from inadequate drying. Timeliness/Readiness for that next call are enabled.


4. How can the dehydrator save money for your dept?
A) Improper drying can greatly decrease the shelf life/protective value of your gear
B) Eliminates the need to purchase spare gear.


5. How is The Dehydrator constructed?
The Frame of The Dehydrator is constructed of welded structural aluminum; the blower box is manufactured from welded aluminum diamond plate housing the blower, heating elements and other electrical components are all available from Grainger.


6. How is the Dehydrator Different from other models?
A) The Dehydrator has a one of a kind 98% robust sturdy welded structural aluminum design.
B) It has a very quiet blower box which is manufactured from welded aluminum diamond plate.
    This blower box houses the blower, heating elements and other electrical parts.
C) It is shipped fully assembled.
D) It includes casters for easy mobility.
E) Electrical components are standard Grainger items.
F) Has an optional adapter for drying Wet/Dry/Ice Rescue suits.


7. What sizes are available?
4 station for drying 2 sets of gear. This is 4 Ft in length, 32" in Width and 6' In Height
6 station for drying 3 sets of gear. This is 6 Ft in length, 32" in Width and 6' In Height
8 station for drying 4 sets of gear. This is 8 Ft in length, 32" in Width and 6' In Height


8. What are the electrical requirements of The Dehydrator?
4 station 110/120 volt, 15 amps or 20 amps.
6 station 208/220 volt, 20 amps, single phase.
8 station 208/220 volt, 20 amps, single phase.


9. What effect does it have on room temperature? The comfort level of a room is unaffected. The slight Temp. rise is as follows;
4 station 110/120 volt, 20 amps = 19-21 F
6 station 208/220 volt, 20 amps = 18-20 F
8 station 208/220 volt, 20 amps = 15-17 F


10. What is the heating wattage?
4 station 110/120 volt, 20 amps = 1425 watts
6 station 208/220 volt, 20 amps = 2700 watts
8 station 208/220 volt, 20 amps = 2700 watts


11. How do we hook The Dehydrator up?
The 4 Station Dehydrator is shipped with a 110/120 20 amp male receptacle.
The 6 and 8 Station Dehydrator is shipping with a NEMA L14-20 female receptacle.


12. Does the dryer require a vent?
No, The Dehydrator does not require a vent like on a typical tumble dryer. If The Dehydrator is going to be located in a small closed room, a vent for the room might be required.


13. What is the amount of airflow?
4 station 110/120 volt, 20 amps = 110/120 CFM
6 station 208/220 volt, 20 amps = 110/120 CFM
8 station 208/220 volt, 20 amps = 80/90 CFM


14. Is The Dehydrator noisy?
No, The Dehydrator blower is housed in a blower box to isolate any noise. Two people having a normal conversation can have a normal conversation.


15. How long does it take fire gear to dry?
Our tests/fire dept owners tell us that geardries within 3.5 hours-avg out of a washing machine/extractor. Many fire dept keep liners separate to speed up drying.


16. Does it come with an enclosure?
No, both our test and our users find that an enclosure was not required. They liked the idea that their gear is easily accessible and do not have to worry about an enclosure breaking after heavy use, incurring additional costs.


17. Does it require any assembly?
No, The Dehydrator is shipping fully assembled. Once it is delivered,it is ready to plug in and use ASAP


18. What is the warranty?
Life Time- Structural Frame
5 years all parts (Grainger)
2 years full including Labor


19. Can we dry boots and gloves?
Yes, each station on The Dehydrator comes with an aluminum adapter for drying boots or gloves.


20. How many users are there of The Dehydrator?
